TMEIC Announces a New Family of Induction Motors

ROANOKE, Va. (February 15, 2016)
– TMEIC Corporation is proud to announce the new TM21-G family of induction motors, designed for superior reliability in a range of industrial applications. Manufactured in both Japan and India by TMEIC, the motors are based on over 100 years of experience supplying motors in Japan to the metals, oil & gas, paper, material handling, mining, chemicals, and cement industries. Typical industrial applications include driving pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and mine hoists. The motors main features include excellent reliability, high efficiency, and superior quality leading to long service life, and design for low maintenance.

Standard features include frame sizes from 315 up to 900 mm, with maximum output power of 30,800 HP (23,000 kW). Rated voltages range up to 11 kV. The maximum speed, operating from a variable frequency drive, is 3,600 rpm.

Available enclosures and cooling systems include:

Totally enclosed Fan cooling (Frame sizes from 315 up to 560 mm)

Weather protected Type II cooling (Frame sizes from 400 up to 630 mm)

Totally enclosed Air-to-air cooling (Frame sizes from 400 up to 900 mm)

Totally enclosed Water-to-air cooling (Frame sizes from 400 up to 900 mm)

There is a choice of either anti-friction bearings or sleeve bearings.

TM21-G motors are available in the USA from TMEIC Corporation, Roanoke, Virginia, or from regional TMEIC offices, or selected sales representatives.
